Dune

I keep starting this review and deleting it because how do you review a book that rewired your brain? Raskolnikov's interior monologue is so claustrophobic and precise that by Part III you're sweating alongside him. What nobody tells you about this book is that it's funny. Not ha-ha funny, but the darkest, most uncomfortable comedy of a man who thinks he's Napoleon discovering in real time that he is very much not.
